027_Fontane Promenade
Concept & Idea
Refurbishment of an historic hauliers office to a residential two flat house in Berlin - Kreuzberg. The heritage protected building will be turned into two separate bright and spacious town houses. All public living quarters will be located on ground floor, while the upper floor is reserved for the more private bedrooms. All rooms will be flooded with daylight form the newly introduced skylights, which will also provide visual connections through from the living room to the main circulation space on the upper floor. The historic character will be preserved with a special attention to details even though the historic building is turned into a modern living space. Additional roof terraces invite to relax and enjoy the lush tree tops on Fontane Promenade.
