043_Arcadis Berlin
Concept & Idea
The existing Arcadis office is equipped with different pieces of furniture that have been used very well in their function. This furniture must be integrated into the design of the new office spaces. Possibly these furniture can be partially integrated into new furniture pieces.
A main focus in Arcadis' design values is the consideration of circulation and movement through space. The shaping should allow a "flowing" movement through the individual workplaces.
Due to the location of the special function zone, "capsules" are placed between the desk workstations and the "Runway" circulation area. The capsules are designed in a way to enable the required flowing movement of the persons between the workplaces. A rounded shape language creates an obstacle-free movement in the ground. The directions of movement surround the special function surfaces. Similar to a stone in a river flow. This flow form language is used as a conceptual form for the architectural "capsules". This creates a uniform character of the premises.
